Parenting Hacks

Do you ever worry if your child will forget what they've learned?

It's a worry many parents share: the fear that gaps between practice sessions might erase their child's progress.

But here's is the truth.

Any repetitive activity like Cycling, Skating gets stored in procedural memory commonly known as Muscle Memory.

In simpler words - Muscle memory is a neurological process that allows you to remember certain motor skills and perform them without conscious effort.

I've seen this first-hand with my students. Even if there's a break of a few years between practices, they can pick up right where they left off, thanks to muscle memory.

Until next Wednesday!
